Define the asset

Four properties describe a simple native asset. There is no token code to write or deploy.

1 to 32 bytes of text. Never changes.

1–12 capital letters A–Z or digits 0–9. Not unique.

IceRoot allows 0–18 decimals. This example supports 0–8.

Created once. Up to 15 whole digits in this example.

Symbols are not unique on IceRoot. Holders identify an asset by the Asset ID the network assigns when it is created, not by its symbol.

Ready to continue.

Scope

Asset creation, without token code.

Seedbed is

  • A way to create a simple native asset with a fixed supply.
  • A distribution tool for transfers of up to 256 recipients, with vesting through time-locked transfers.
  • A standard asset that holders can send and receive.

Seedbed is not

  • A fundraising platform, token sale, or ICO service.
  • A marketplace or an exchange.
  • A review, listing, or endorsement of any project.

Asset creation does not imply an exchange listing or endorsement.

Later

Stay, or move on.

An asset can stay on IceRoot for as long as it fits, or move to a dedicated network through a supported migration route when the project is ready. Moving on is a success, not a failure.

How migration works
  1. 01

    Seedbed

    Create and distribute.

  2. 02

    IceRoot

Hold and transfer, for as long as needed.

  3. 03

    First dedicated network

Through a supported route, when ready.
