# IceRoot > A post-quantum network for digital asset continuity, in development. Heartwood Core, the production Rust node, is still being built. Its relay and forger already run in development builds, on development networks only. A reference devnet runs now. The public testnet has not launched, and mainnet ROOT and migration services are not live. Previews on this site run locally in your browser. The documentation is a working specification. Parameters, economics and validator rules may change. Mono Labs R&D LLC builds IceRoot for asset continuity and Monolythium for programmable applications. They are separate networks with distinct responsibilities. LYTH, Monolythium’s token, is planned to launch as a native asset on IceRoot, then migrate when Monolythium’s network is ready. ROOT remains IceRoot’s own token for fees and voting; it is separate from LYTH. ## Background and asset lifecycle - [About IceRoot](https://docs.iceroot.com/getting-started/about/): Mono Labs, the relationship between the two networks, and the engineering background. - [Introduction](https://docs.iceroot.com/getting-started/introduction/): IceRoot’s purpose, native assets, and the asset lifecycle. - [Launch before your mainnet](https://docs.iceroot.com/projects/launch-before-mainnet/): Launching an asset on IceRoot and moving it to its destination network later. - [Why I’m building IceRoot and Monolythium](https://nayiem.com/why-iceroot-and-monolythium/): Nayiem Willems’s account of the two projects and LYTH’s planned path. ## Website - [Why IceRoot](https://iceroot.com/why-iceroot): Native assets compared with ERC-20 and SPL tokens, and asset creation, ownership, transfers, and migration. - [Use cases](https://iceroot.com/use-cases): Token migration, chain retirement, security recovery, and a temporary home for assets. - [Network](https://iceroot.com/network): Native assets, ROOT, validators, and transactions. - [Seedbed](https://iceroot.com/seedbed): Native asset creation, shown as an interactive example: define an asset, set its supply, and review distribution. - [How migrations work](https://iceroot.com/migrations/about): Declared checkpoints, explicit policies, and independently reproducible source state. - [Developers](https://iceroot.com/developers): Architecture guides, transaction types, and integration resources. - [Security](https://iceroot.com/security): Post-quantum security, ownership, migration trust boundaries, vulnerability reporting, and bounties. - [Roadmap](https://iceroot.com/roadmap): Development stages and release plans. - [Get started](https://iceroot.com/get-started): Planned wallets, validator resources, and community links. ## Documentation exports - [Documentation reading guide](https://docs.iceroot.com/llms.txt): Topic map with direct Markdown links. - [Documentation index](https://docs.iceroot.com/docs-index.json): Page titles, descriptions, canonical and Markdown URLs, headings, and content checksums.
